A homeowner in Grafton, WI is looking to finish their 596 sq. ft. basement and add a half bath to make the space suitable for an in-home daycare. The project will feature an open concept layout with a Vinyl Perimeter Wall, painted ceiling, and recessed can lights for modern lighting. The new half bath will enhance the functionality of the space, making it perfect for daycare use.
Mr. and Mrs. Cera, homeowners of a new construction for a little over a year, are embarking on a project to finish their roughly 960 sq/ft basement. The objective includes the addition of an extra bathroom, already plumbed for convenience. The basement has an L shape, and the plan is to create a multifunctional space while maintaining a separate area for specific needs.
Our collaboration with Mr. and Mrs. Cera involved designing a space that fulfilled all their requirements and fit within their budget constraints. The basement design includes a closed-off section for a video game and theater room, catering to Mr. Cera's preferences, and open space for general entertaining purposes.
From Basement to Beautiful!
Alexis and Nick from Grafton, WI, wanted to transform their unfinished basement into a functional and inviting space where they could relax, entertain, and add value to their home. With a vision for a versatile recreation area and a fully equipped bathroom, they knew their basement had the potential to become an extension of their living space. After learning about us, they reached out to Buck Buckley’s Total Basement Finishing to bring their ideas to life.
Our team got to work, installing EverLast Vinyl Perimeter and Partition Wall Systems to create a clean, durable foundation for the new layout. The fresh dropped grid ceiling with mineral fiber composition added both style and sound management, while dimmable recessed LED lighting provided a warm and adjustable ambiance. The bathroom build-out included a sleek vanity with sink, a modern mirror with integrated lighting, a toilet, exhaust fan, and a refreshing shower, offering both comfort and convenience. We added thoughtful design elements like decorative post surrounds and a small access panel to ensure every detail contributed to a polished and cohesive look.
Now, Alexis and Nick have a beautifully finished basement that not only enhances their home’s functionality but also provides a bright and comfortable space for family gatherings, quiet relaxation, and everything in between. Their once-unused basement is now a vibrant part of their home, ready for years of enjoyment.
This family's son moved back in with them, so they needed a basement suite...for a 6 foot 6 inch boy! Now THAT is a lot of needed space. This full kitchen means he can live and eat downstairs without having to cramp mom and dad's style :) Now this Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin family is totally at peace!
